A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.

Tips and Tricks
To Conceal or Not to Conceal....
Here is what you need to know:
1. Concealer should match your skin tone or be one shade lighter. Please avoid using colors like green or orange if you do not know how...unless it is Halloween.
2. Use it to cover dark circles around the eyes, and any discoloration on the face, pimple etc.... not to draw crop circles on your face...
3. Concealer is not a highlighter.
4. Use it only where needed, and little goes a long way....
5. For extreme cases apply concealer over foundation so it will cover and not be rubbed off, but make sure you blend it in completely.
Please keep in mind there are no set rules to makeup or makeup application, just suggestions or tips....go wild :)

Nixie Silky Blush Illumination
Little Secret Ingredient…
In my kit there are several items I can not do without.
One of them is the Nixie Silky Blush: Illumination.
In my kit there are several items I can not do without.
One of them is the Nixie Silky Blush: Illumination.
The Nixie Silky Blush comes in 2 consistencies, cream and powder, and a large color spectrum and two finishes, Shimmery and Matte. I personally prefer the powder, but the cream is good to. This Illuminating Blush has the perfect balance of soft coverage and luminous color. The powder delivers an easy and even application that looks natural and is long lasting.
I apply Nixie Silky Blush Illumination on the cheek bones and temples right above the usual blush line, or under the blush to give it a more luscious look.
Nixie Silky Blush comes in a convenient single container or in a small (3.5 grams) pan that can be added to a Nixie 6 Well Pro Palette.

Monday Wisdom
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Tips and Tricks
Hot Weather and Face Perspiration....
Our face is often a place on the body that sweats....yes we do...do not deny it...and most of the time we are a bit embarrassed by it.
Sweat normally forms along the hairline and trickles on down to wet the rest of our face, make our foundation run and become gooey...but here is a little trick to help prevent sweat from forming on the face, use a clear gel antiperspirant....don't know where to get it....well use some any-perspirant deodorant :) YES the one that you already have in the bathroom..... Apply some along your hairline, forehead and jaw....just a light coat and if needed around your nose.... This will prevent sweat from beading and forming on the face.
Another Trick it to do a little home chemistry experiment... mix 2 teaspoons baby powder with 1 teaspoon cornstarch....dip a make-up brush into the powder, and apply along the hairline, forehead and jaw....this will also help with the facial perspiration and if any powder shows along the hairline just wipe with a damp cloth.
Stay Cool :)

NIXIE EYESHADOW!
One of my favorite Eyeshadows is the mineral eye shadow palette from Nixie
Pigmentation on these Eyeshadows is amazing. Long lasting, smooth texture with a light feel and in so many bight colors, that fade evenly but still maintain a nice amount for color at the end of the day (do not forget to remover your makeup at night otherwise you will find traces of eye shadow on you pillow case). The colors blend well with each other no smudging or creasing with or without primer.

They have a great palette system all the colors (blushes and shadows) are the same size so palettes are interchangable and easily replaces. The eyeshadow comes in a small (3.5 grams) pan that can be purchased at the Nixie Cosmetic Website. Shadows are available in 4 finishes (matte, matte/suede, suede and ultra-suede) and available in a variety of shades for $15 a piece.
