Monday Wisdom...

The key question isn't "What fosters creativity?" But it is why in God's name isn't everyone creative? Where was the human potential lost? How was it crippled? I think therefore a good question might be not why do people create? But why do people not create or innovate? We have got to abandon that sense of amazement in the face of creativity, as if it were a miracle if anybody created anything.

Ben Nye Lumier Cream Wheel

My Product Choice for this Week is....
Ben Nye Lumiere Cream Wheel!
I just recently bought the Lumiere Creme Wheel after a reccomendation from a fellow artist.
I am usually not big in Creme Makeup since the dry time can be long and creasing can happen if not applied properly.
Ben Nye Lumiere Cream Wheel has six bold, shimmering shades for sizzling beauty or fantasy accents. Add bold sizzle to glamour or fantasy design. Set these luminescent cremes with either Ice or Iced Gold Luxe Powder for a shimmering finish.

Lumier Shades are Aztec Gold, Azalea, Cosmic Blue, Royal Purple, Jade, Ice.
What I like about it...
It can be stacked; so the more layer the darker the color.
It's water proof...great for underwater shoots.
It's sweat proof....so you can go out dancing.
If set with powder it drys quickly and stays on forever...with a more matted look
With a Finish Seal it say on forever plus has a shimmery finish.
It can be used on eyelids, lips, cheeks, or anywhere else on the body.
It has enough pigment that can be also use just as an eyeliner!
So there! My new addition!
Now I just need to go and try it out on the job!
Cheers

Monday Wisdom...

Spirituality exists wherever we struggle with the issue of how our lives fit into the greater cosmic scheme of things. This is true even when our questions never give way to specific answers or give rise to specific practices such as prayer or meditation. We encounter spiritual issues every time we wonder where the universe comes from, why we are here, or what happens when we die. We also become spiritual when we become moved by values such as beauty, love, or creativity that seem to reveal a meaning or power beyond our visible world. An idea or practice is "spiritual" when it reveals our personal desire to establish a felt-relationship with the deepest meanings or powers governing life.

Monday Wisdom...

Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn!
Look to this Day!
For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the Verities and Realities of your Existence.
The Bliss of Growth,The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived makes
Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!
Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!

HD Hight Dedinitnion Powder

This is, according to me, one of the best powders in the history of face powders!!!

So light, so fine, so wonderful and long lasting under the bright light of the studio light! A must have in every makeup kit, whether personal or professional J

What it does:
MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Micro finish Powder provides all you need for a glowing complexion. This 100% mineral silica powder softens the appearance of imperfections, sets foundation, and mattifies the skin without changing its natural contours. Its translucent powder matches any skin-tones. For those of us obsessed with contouring this is perfect since it will not change the color of the contour application. It’s super fine and goes on easily, a little bit goes a loooong way.

What else you need to know:
It's free of talc and parabens and can be used on even the most sensitive of skins, and being free of Talc means that it great to use for photography…no shine!

I have been using this powder for some time and I use it on 90% of my clients...the other 10% have perfect complexion or are too young to wear makeup!

What I find Amazing about the HD High Definition Powder:
1. can be used on any skin tone/color
2. It can be used on any skin types
3. Helps even out skin tones
4. It does not allow creasing
5. It removes even the most stubborn shine spot
6.It can be applied with a brush, sponge, napkin or Q-tip (for the difficult to reach areas!)
7. Less is more; a little bit goes a long way!
8. I only have to apply it once!

Hugs and Nibbles :)

24 hrs to the Shoot for the Cure !!

Preparing for the Shoot for the Cure...

Can't sleep I always do this get all nervous and excited about large events, according to the list we are looking at 40 models and some 40 photographers...That is a lot of people!
So I check on my kit...and rechecked, made sure I have at least makeup for 10 models (Ideally there will be 9 makeup artists and 5 hair stylist) but we all know how these things go...It's a charity no one gets paid...so we will probability have half the models and less than a hand full of stylists....that means I got to be ready…and I do not meant to mean…people have different priorities.

Mm link:
http://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=395965&page=1
